About Us

At Deuxieme Fois, we love clothes. But not just any clothes. We love clothes that are chic, stylish, tasteful and timeless. Our site features casually elegant pieces; and items to enhance your look; and, we promise to be your 'go-to' for fashionable finds. Our online shop was conceived from our preference to shop for lightly loved items - often good or better than new - evocative of the French phrase, 'je ne sais quois.'

Deuxieme Fois features stylish, classic and timeless clothes from new to vintage and everywhere in between. We want our customers to experience the joy that comes from the 'hunt of the find,' and the opportunity to own/wear outstanding pieces at affordable prices. French women build their wardrobes one classic piece at a time. Our sincere hope is that Duexieme Fois will become your favourite choice for building your timeless closet.

Why Choose Us?

Great style and finesse are hard to teach. It is almost innate - like eye colour - you are born with a sense of style or not. For us, at Deuxieme Fois, it's generational, from a grandma who sold stylish ladies' wear until she was eighty to a great aunt who was lovingly referred to as 'Anna Filene's' for her dedicated daily visits to the original home of 'bargain fashions' in NYC; and, for our love of the 'hunt' that prevents us from walking by a consignment store without the irresistible urge to peek inside to check out the latest finds. Deuxieme Fois features stylish, classic and vintage clothing, showcasing new and 'must have' pieces. We offer the opportunity for you to own outstanding pieces at affordable prices. French women build their wardrobe one classic piece at a time, over time. We hope Deuxieme Fois becomes your favourite choice to purchase pieces to build your timeless closet.

Mrs. Maisel's Monthly Finds

Women's fashion has been defined each decade by female fashion icons. In the 1920s, Katherine Hepburn was known for the 'tomboy style' and coined the term 'street smart.' Today, women emulate Hepburn's style of trousers, a blazer, and a pair of loafers. In the 1940s, fashion became more structured with A-Line button-up dresses and repurposed clothing due to wartime rationing. Accessories, belts, bracelets, and scarves were used to accentuate the repurposed outfit. The 1950s inspired the return of the skirt with a nipped-in waist - think Lucille Ball and Grace Kelly. The 1960s introduced us to Marilyn Monroe and her sultry, impeccable style, tight waists and fur coats. The 1970s introduced London fashion - the miniskirt and Twiggy eyelashes; Audrey Hepburn made basket hats glamorous and gave us her exquisite tailored look and the 'little black dress.' And then, Jackie Kennedy, 'the first lady of style' whose elegance is still fashionable today. It is these women and their timeless style mirrors that of  Deuxieme Fois. Today, we salute Mrs. Miriam Maisel. As a tribute to her style, Deuxieme Fois will feature a monthly special collection named in her honour.
